Parental Consent, Safeguarding & Terms of Participation Agreement

By enrolling my child in acting classes provided by West Cork Performing Arts, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions:

I acknowledge that West Cork Performing Arts is committed to providing a safe, supportive and positive environment for all participating children. All sessions are delivered in a professional manner, with the wellbeing, dignity and safeguarding of each child as a priority.

I understand that supervision is provided only during scheduled class times. I agree to ensure my child is dropped off and collected promptly at the agreed times. I accept that West Cork Performing Arts cannot accept responsibility for children outside of class times, including before drop-off or after collection.

I understand that acting classes may involve movement, spatial awareness, group work and partner exercises. Any physical contact used for teaching purposes will be appropriate, minimal, explained in advance and carried out within clear professional boundaries. I understand that my child is encouraged to speak up at any time if they feel uncomfortable.

I agree that my child will behave respectfully towards staff and fellow participants. I understand that ongoing disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in parental contact and, where necessary, removal from a session or programme in order to protect the wellbeing of the group.

I confirm that I have disclosed all relevant medical information, allergies or additional needs relating to my child, and understand that failure to do so may affect West Cork Performing Arts’s ability to provide appropriate care or support.

I understand that photographs or video recordings may be taken during classes or performances for educational or promotional purposes. I acknowledge that no images will be used publicly without parental consent, which will be obtained separately.

I understand that any safeguarding or child protection concerns will be managed sensitively and in accordance with best practice guidelines. Where required, concerns may be referred to the appropriate authorities in the best interests of the child.
